About Quorum

What is Quorum?

Quorum is a degree planner. You tell us your school and major, and we show you every requirement you need to graduate. You drag courses into semesters, and the plan updates as you go.

The word "quorum" means the minimum number needed to make a group's decisions valid. Same idea here: do you have enough to graduate?

Why we built this

Your school already knows exactly what you need to graduate. That information is in the catalog. The problem is that the catalog was written for administrators, not for you. It's 400 pages of nested requirements, footnotes, and cross-references that assume you already understand how the system works.

So students end up in advising queues and spreadsheets trying to piece it together themselves. Most of the anxiety around graduation isn't about the coursework. It's about not knowing if you're taking the right coursework.

We thought that was a solvable problem. Quorum reads the same catalog your school publishes, structures it, and evaluates your plan against it. The information was always there. We just made it usable.

How it works

We parse your school's catalog data: courses, degree programs, GE requirements, prerequisite chains. When you select your school, catalog year, and major, Quorum builds a complete map of what you need.

From there it's a planner. Drag courses into semesters, and Quorum evaluates your progress across every requirement category. You can see exactly what's done, what's left, and what depends on what.
